It outlines our principles and practices for managing user-generated content and behavior.

Scope of Moderation

This Moderation Policy applies to all user-generated content and behavior within SkillMight Services. This includes, but isn't limited to:

  • Usernames, profile pictures, and any information in your profile.
  • Any messages, comments, or feedback you send to us or potentially post on the Services (if we add such features).
  • Interactions within quiz competitions or any future interactive features.
  • Content or behavior linked from third-party social media accounts that directly impacts the SkillMight community or our platform's reputation.
  • Any communication or activity conducted through our Services.

Prohibited Conduct and Content

The following types of conduct and content are strictly not allowed on SkillMight and will be subject to moderation. This list provides examples, but it's not exhaustive. Please refer to Section 8 "Prohibited Activities" in our Legal Terms for a full overview.

Unlawful or Harmful Activities:

  • Any activity that breaks local, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Promoting or assisting in illegal activities (e.g., unlawful substances, unauthorized weapons, unlawful financial schemes).
  • Threats, encouraging harmful actions, or direct acts that could cause harm to any person or group.
  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, or any behavior meant to intimidate or upset others.
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or unfair treatment based on race, background, origin, religion, gender, personal preferences, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Any exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of young individuals, including any content related to inappropriate material involving minors.

Inappropriate or Offensive Content:

  • Content that is explicit, crude, or excessively vulgar.
  • False, misleading, or hurtful statements about individuals, groups, or organizations.
  • Content that makes fun of, degrades, or abuses anyone.
  • Content that promotes self-harm.
  • Graphic or excessively disturbing content.

Spam, Deception, and Misuse of Services:

  • Sending unwanted messages, unauthorized advertisements, promotional materials, chain letters, or any other type of unapproved communication.
  • Dishonest or deceptive activities, including trying to trick or mislead other users or SkillMight staff (e.g., trying to get passwords, making false reports).
  • Any automated use of the system (e.g., bots, scripts, data gathering) not explicitly allowed by SkillMight.
  • Unauthorized use of SkillMight content (e.g., displaying it in a frame, linking to it in unapproved ways).
  • Trying to pretend to be another user or person, or using a fake or borrowed name.
  • Any activity that interferes with or puts an undue burden on the Services, networks, or connected services (e.g., sending harmful software, continuously posting repetitive text).

Violations of Intellectual Property and Privacy:

  • Posting, sending, or sharing content that copies or uses someone else's intellectual property rights (like copyrights, trademarks, or patents) without permission.
  • Breaking anyone's privacy rights.
  • Sharing personal or confidential information about others without their clear permission.

Unfair Practices:

  • Any attempt to bypass or get around security features or content restrictions.
  • Trying to manipulate quiz results, affiliate referrals, or any other platform mechanism for an unfair advantage.
  • Using unauthorized external software or tools to gain an unfair advantage.

Moderation Actions

SkillMight has the right, but not the obligation, to take any appropriate actions to enforce this Moderation Policy and our Legal Terms. These actions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Content Removal: Deleting or making prohibited content, comments, or profile information inaccessible.
  • Warnings: Sending formal warnings to users for minor rule breaking.
  • Temporary Suspension: Temporarily suspending a user's account, meaning they can't access the Services for a set period.
  • Permanent Termination: Permanently suspending or ending a user's account, preventing future access to the Services. This might include blocking IP addresses if necessary.
  • Forfeiture of Earnings/Coins: In cases of deception, unfair practices, or serious policy violations, SkillMight has the right to take back any accumulated coins, quiz winnings, or affiliate earnings.
  • Legal Action: Reporting serious violations to law enforcement and pursuing legal action if needed.

Moderation actions are taken at our sole discretion, without prior notice or responsibility. If we don't act on a specific right or rule in these Legal Terms or this policy, it doesn't mean we're giving up that right or rule for the future.

Reporting Violations

We encourage our community to help us keep SkillMight a safe and positive environment. If you see content or behavior that goes against this Moderation Policy or our Legal Terms, please report it to us right away.

To report something, please contact us at: support@skillmight.com. When you report, please provide as much detail as possible, including:

  • The specific content or user involved.
  • A clear description of what happened.
  • Any relevant screenshots or links.

Our moderation team will review all reports. While we aim to act quickly, please understand that investigations take time.

Appeals Process

If your content or account has been affected by a moderation action and you believe it was a mistake, you can submit an appeal by contacting us at support@skillmight.com. Please clearly explain why you think the action was wrong and include any supporting information. Our team will review all appeals, and our decision on the appeal will be final.

Modifications to This Policy

We may update or change this Moderation Policy at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately once the revised policy is posted on our Services, indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy regularly to stay informed about our guidelines.
